Product Specification
The Jacksons range of premium quality timber decking is made from pressure-treated softwood, which is guaranteed for 25 years against rot and insect attack. Jacksons wooden decking joists and posts are treated with a more concentrated solution of our unique Jakcure® timber treatment to ensure a long life in ground contact. Where possible, avoid cutting, drilling or notching any timber that will be in-ground, as per our 25 year Jakcure® terms and conditions. If occasional sections do have to be cut, then Cut Treatment should be applied liberally.
- All timber decking boards are grooved to help create a safer, slip-resistant surface.
- Standard decking boards are planed from 100x25mm section boards, giving a finished size of approx 95x21mm.
- Heavy Decking Boards are planed from 150x32mm section board,s giving a finished size of approx 145x28mm.
- Jacksons decking joists are treated with a more concentrated solution of our unique timber treatment to ensure a long life in contact with the ground.
- Timber is a natural product and can shrink/expand in varying weather conditions
For heavy-duty, high-traffic areas, we recommend our heavy-duty timber decking boards.
Jacksons also supply slip-resistant decking boards, with added resin and aggregate mixture (grit), which ensure significantly more grip.
